Ep. 8 | Sailing To Victory

Twenty challengers stepped on the island a few weeks ago, not knowing what they were getting into. Alliances formed and challengers quit when the conditions got too tough to handle. The Islanders are about to depart but only eight of them will be seated on a boat on their way to the other island. Who will win the $300,000 and who will be going home empty handed?

The final face-off will be a chance for all of the challengers who don't have keys to win a challenge and steal a key at the last moment. With Evelyn as one of the competitors without a key, the alliance is pretty sure that Evelyn will win the face-off and take away Johnny's key.

Kenny decides to work it out between Evelyn and Johnny to agree on making peace. If Evelyn doesn't take away Johnny's key, both Johnny and Kenny will agree to put Evelyn in their boat for the final race to the other island. Evelyn is realistic about her spot in the game and is willing to bury the hatchet, but Johnny is more concerned about his pride.

Paula is the second alliance member to reach out to Evelyn, and wants to also keep Evelyn in her boat. All of the key holders are nervous about keeping their keys and want Dan to win the face-off to save the alliance. Johnny tells Dan that he has to stay sober in order to stay focus and beat Evelyn.

At the face-off, "Water Bound," Dan, Evelyn, KellyAnne and Johanna will compete for the last key. The competitors will have their ankles tied together and will jump into the water holding weights in their hands. Then the competitors will have to allow themselves to sink to the bottom of the water and then propel themselves up for breathe and then sink back down again. Whoever is the last one standing wins the face-off and a $3,000 gift card to Shell.

All four challengers jump into the water and once Dan touches the bottom of the water he lets go of one of his weights. Admitting to being paranoid about drowning, Dan felt that he had no air to breathe and eliminated himself from the face-off. On the second round, KellyAnne lets go of her weights which leaves Johanna and Evelyn to compete. Then Johanna loses one of her weights, giving Evelyn the win.

At this point, Johnny thinks his key is good as gone but Kenny refuses to give up on Evelyn. Kenny talks to Evelyn and swears that he would take Evelyn over Paula in his boat, but Evelyn isn't convinced.

Johnny Bananas finally decides to swallow his pride and talk to Evelyn himself about her key choice. Johnny apologizes for any hard feelings Evelyn may have toward him but Evelyn is still unsure about his promises. Back in the hut, Dunbar takes Evelyn aside and tries to convince her that only he and Derrick respect Evelyn as a competitor.

At elimination, Johnny dismisses Johanna, Dan and KellyAnne from the group so Evelyn can announce her decision. Evelyn takes her position near host TJ Lavin and the tables are turned with the rest of the group has to give their plea to Evelyn to stay in the game. When it's Johnny's turn to speak to Evelyn he once again reiterates that he's sorry for any heartache he has caused.

With all of the pleas heard from the group by Evelyn, she begins to explain what has led her to her decision. Evelyn acknowledges the alliance and says that Paula has been the only one genuine to her which narrows down her decision to Johnny and Dunbar. Evelyn said that she wants to put aside her feelings for Johnny and takes Dunbar's key.

After Dunbar leaves the group, TJ announces that the remaining eight players must immediately place themselves into the two groups of four. Those two groups will each take a boat and sail to the other island to fight for the $300,000.

When Paula realizes that the three alliance boys want Evelyn in their boat instead of her, she feels betrayed and openly yells at them for going behind her back. The red boat is Kenny, Evelyn, Johnny and Derrick and the blue boat is Ryan, Robin, Paula and Jenn.

Back at the hut, Paula is still brewing over the boys' decision to take Evelyn over her and Dunbar is upset with losing his key. The teams go to their boats to plan how they will sail and Dunbar decides to help out the blue team.

The next morning, the final airdrop arrives and Derrick and Evelyn swim out to retrieve the final pieces to the boats. The airdrop box is opened and the race begins between the two teams to get their boats finished and in the water. Dunbar continues to help out Paula's team, allowing the team to complete their boater quicker than Johnny has hoped.

The red team completes their boat first and gets into the water before the other team. Both teams have trouble with fighting the current and soon enough it becomes a very tight race.

Johnny makes a wrong move and nearly tips over his boat while the blue team closes in on them. Suddenly, the blue team's sail starts to come apart and they have to paddle without it.

Johnny and his team are the first to reach the other island and are greeted by host TJ Lavin. They use their keys to unlock the treasure chest and claim themselves as the winners of The Island. Derrick, Johnny, Kenny and Evelyn grab their $300,000 and celebrate their victory.

Ep. 7 | Down To The Wire

A new twist in the game allowed keys to be up for grabs by anyone who is still fighting for a spot on the boat. Evelyn had taken Johnny's key but the Island king wasn't going to go without a fight. Johnny took back his key and once again the alliance celebrated their victory.

With the alliance still manipulating the game, challengers like Ryan are hoping that by being the popular guy they won't be left behind with the boat sets sail. Johnny feels comfortable in being the leader of the alliance and reclaiming his key. The only thing is, now he has to see that all of the other alliance members have keys too.

Johnny and Kenny want Ryan to take away Jenn's key to give it to Johanna, but Ryan is loyal to his friend Jenn. Dunbar isn't safe either and is constantly being criticized for being handed his key when Abe left the game. Either way, there are two face-offs left which means two chances to get a key.

Since Ryan refuses to take Jenn's key, Kenny is still trying to find a way to get his favorite Island cuddle buddy a key. Johanna and Colie have demands on their face-off chances and want the alliance to stick to their plans. Ryan won't let Johanna forget that she told the group that she wants to be handed a key.

It's airdrop day and that means that the competitors are rewarded with more toilet paper, food, a cell phone and a video camera. The challengers use their video camera wisely and record messages to their families at home in case they never leave the beach.

The pieces to the boat are put together and the boys decide that the girls are not fit to be in the boats. Johanna and Colie think that they can tan all day and sit pretty in the alliance, but Johnny has other plans.

Colie wants to go into a face-off with a strong key holder so she can either win a key or be handed a key. Johnny is not comfortable with being told what to do and tells Colie that no one is being promised a key at this point.

A fight starts to brew between Colie and Johnny when Johnny suddenly decides he doesn't want Colie to take advantage of the alliance. Johanna steps in and announces that she, Ryan and Colie will be in the next face-off. Johanna doesn't want any back talking from Johnny and he is not impressed with the girls trying to take control of his alliance. In the meantime, Ryan is still feeling the pressure to take Jenn's key but he doesn't want to hurt his friend.

Host TJ Lavin stops by the start off the face-off voting and this gives Colie a chance to announce her desired face-off. The group decides that Ryan, Colie and Johanna can go in the next face-off. Before TJ leaves, Johnny asks if there are any more rules to game and TJ tells him that he needs to focus on building the boats first.

The group gets to work on the boat but the boys want to take over everything. Robin is not content with not having her sailing skills utilized and won't leave the boys alone. Will the challengers get it done in time?

Paula sits down with a frustrated Robin and tells her to just let Johnny do what he wants to do. The boys don't want to be on a boat built by girls and insists that Robin is better off at doing the dishes. Inside the house, Ryan, Colie and Johanna swear to stay friends no matter what happens in the elimination.

The face-off, "Timber," the competitors have to hold up their tree trunks as long as possible. The winner is rewarded with a T-Mobile Sidekick LX, along with one year of free service so they can stay connected to all of their Island friends. Johanna, Colie and Ryan get set up and immediately concentrate on keeping their bag of coconuts from falling to the ground.

The three competitors are holding onto their ropes but Colie looks like she's having the most trouble. Colie lets go and takes herself out of the face-off, leaving Johanna and Ryan. Johanna sees that Ryan is still hanging on without any trouble and she ends up letting go, giving Ryan the chance to take a key. Johanna and Colie get ready for elimination but neither of them wants to see the other go home.

Ryan still has to decide which key he is going to take and has to choose between KellyAnne and Dunbar. The rest of the girls are already talking about the last face-off and who to vote in for the final chance to get a key. At the same time, Dunbar is worried about Ryan taking away his key and instead of getting the others to be sympathetic he's starting to rub them the wrong way.

At elimination, Johanna is the first to step up to plead her case to the group. Johanna believes she should stay because she has what it takes to get through the final challenge. Colie then takes over and tells the group that she wants them all to vote for her friend Johanna to stay, which would send her home.

The group sticks to Colie's wishes and sends her home, keeping Johanna on the The Island. Ryan steps in front of the others and announces that his decision was based on the fact that he's playing for himself and not an alliance. Johnny and the rest of the alliance members are already annoyed with Ryan and he hasn't even announced which key he's taking yet.

Ryan then reveals that he's taking a key away from KellyAnne, adding in that he has to still please the alliance that he's a part of.

TJ shocks everyone when he tells the group that for the last face-off all of the competitors without a key will be thrown into the challenge. Evelyn is ecstatic at another chance to take away an alliance member's key and the alliance is in awe of the new rule.

Johnny Bananas is already looking for a way out from this new twist in the game, but no one knows if the alliance can recover if Evelyn gets to be a final key holder.
